Description

Basalt fiber rebar is an advanced composite material which basalt fiber combines with vinylite, padding and curing agent. Used as a reinforcement alternative to traditional steel rebar in concrete structures. No pollution. Relative to steel bars, it has high strength (more than 3 times that of ordinary steel bars), small specific gravity (1/4 of ordinary steel bars), good material properties such as insulation, corrosion resistance, and weather resistance, and can reduce project cost in project implementation Around 20%. Configured in cement concrete pavements, large squares, bridge cement concrete pavements, tunnels, slope protection, polymer manhole covers, power shallow trench covers, light retaining walls, sewage inspection wells and other underg-round water ditches Basalt composite bars are used as distributed bars.

Production Process:
BFRP rebar is made by first heating basalt rock to a molten state at a high temperature of 2,550 degrees Fahrenheit. The molten rock is then extruded through multiple - tip bushings to form basalt fibers with a diameter of 13 to 19 microns. These fibers are combined with epoxy resin or other resins through a pultrusion process. In this process, the fibers are continuously pulled through a die, and the resin is cured to form a solid - state BFRP rebar with a specific shape and size.
Product Main Advantages:
(1) 2 times stronger than steel.
(2) 5 times lighter than steel.
(3) Basalt rebar is naturally resistant to alkali, rust and acids.
(4) Moisture penetration from concrete does not spall.
(5) Needs no special coating like glass fibre rods.
(6) Basalt rebar has the same thermal coefficient expansion as concrete.
(7) Allowing thinner, lighter panels and decks, basalt rebar reduces the thickness and spacing between the rods and the concrete and surface. Much more flexible design! Smaller rods allow for more critical spacing and designs.
(8) Smaller rods allow for more critical spacing and designs.
(9) Basalt rebar is easily cut to length with regular tools.
(10) Basalt rebar does not conduct electricity or induce fields when exposed to RF energy, great for MRI or data buildings.
(11) On average 60% less CO2 emission in final concrete structures due to production process, logistics and material optimization.
(12) Overall project cost is less than with steel rebar.
(13) Savings on logistics and installation.
Advantages Over Steel Rebar:
Longer service life due to corrosion resistance.
Reduced maintenance costs.
Lower environmental impact.
Easier handling and installation due to its lightweight nature.
