【product description】 Basalt twill weave is a basic weave characterized by a diagonal rib, or twill line. Each end floats over at least two or more consecutive picks enabling a greater number of yarns per unit area than a plain weave, while not losing a great deal of fabric stability. This type of fabric looks different on one side than on the other. In the basalt fiber twill weave each warp fiber passes alternately under and over each weft fiber. The basalt fiber fabric is symmetrical, with good stability and reasonable porosity. However, it is the most difficult of the weaves to drape, and the high level of fiber crimp imparts relatively low mechanical properties compared with the other weave styles. With large fibers (high Tex) this weave style gives excessive crimp and therefore it tends not to be used for very heavy fabrics. 【Product Features】 *Strong impact protection – will not shatter like carbon fibre. *Naturally UV resistant. *Maintains its physical integrity in stressful situations. *Similar flex to Fibreglass performance. *The high tensile strength and excellent acid and alkali resistance, along with the non-magnetic and non-conductive characteristics make it suitable for most composite projects. *Basalt is also non-combustible and offers good thermal protection making it suitable for many insulation and high temperature applications. 【Product Application】 Used in bridge construction, wind turbine blades, boats, automobiles, sports equipment and other fields. Basalt Fabrics for high performance applications from construction to clothing. Basalt fibre is suitable for a wide range of applications such as automotive, aviation, construction, electromagnetic shields, high temperature seals and curtains. Such as: •Fiber-reinforced composite materials, friction materials. •Shipbuilding materials, aerospace, insulation materials. •Automotive industry, high temperature filtration fabrics, etc. • Fire curtains for fire protection and containment. • Wall laminate to enhance burn-through times to meet building codes and regulations. • Filtration material for industrial emission stacks and bag-houses. • Roof protection from fire devastation. • Fireproof clothing. • Reinforcement in composites. • Electromagnetic shields.
