Product introduction :
Basalt fiber spinning is a yarn made of multiple basalt fiber strands after twisting and doubling. The diameter of the monofilament is generally ≤ 13 microns. Textile yarns can be roughly divided into weaving yarns and other industrial yarns. Weaving yarn is mainly bobbin yarn and bottle-shaped cheese yarn.
This continuous Basalt roving is made of a bundle of parallel strands without twisting.The packing of the bobbin includes inner-pulling and outside pulling. The tensile strength of the roving 6-13μm is 0.6N/Tex, the elastic modulus is_91GPa and the elongation at break is_3.1%. Compared with the PPTA & UHMWPE, this basalt fiber not only has the high strength, high modulus & the excellent shock resistance but also high-temperature resistance, light resistance.
Especially, the surface combined with the resin, which has the better binder strength. So this basalt fiber is a kind of inorganic fiber which
can be used as the ballistic & protection material. In the composites, this basalt fiber has the inner tensile resistance, press resistance,
strength, fatigue resistance properties. It has the explosive prevention function when used in the ballistic material & can prevent the danger
from the explosive blast. And it has the another advantages such as: no bounce, no spalling, no second execution fracture function, which can be
used the base material of the ceramic facing armoring system.
